Canada has been celebrating “National Tartan Day” since 1993, which inspired the creation of a similar U.S. holiday. Senate Resolution 155 was passed on Monday, March 20, 1998, designating every April 6th as “National Tartan Day”.Many things are happening today rather than tomorrow, so check with your local Scottish organizations to see what’s going on in your area! For Minnesota a current list of Tartan Day celebrations can be found at: http://www.minnesotascots.org/It could be the perfect opportunity for a night out at the pub!
